We always try to book our flight tickets from a different carrier as we would like to experience each of them. We know there are Frequent Flyer Programs etc where you can collect miles and use them later on, but it's always nice to experience different customer service. Not always at its best! Cathay Pacific is international flag carrier airline of Hong Kong since 1946. We will definitely travel with you again onc day as we were very pleased with your service!
After 11h on board and 9640km in the air we landed in Hong Kong at 6:35am. We took bus no A21, 33 HKD per person to Tsim Tsa Tsui where our hotel was located. We were lucky that we could check in so early and could have a few hours nap after a long flight. We decided to go out in the afternoon and stroll around Avenue of Stars until gets dark. Amazing! The next day we visited Nathan Road, Ladies Market and again Avenue of Stars to see once again the Symphony of Lights, which was the most disappointing 'must see' on our list during our last visit. Maybe we were hoping that this year it would surprised us in a very positive way. Maybe we really wanted to think of this 'Yes, It was really worth seeing it'. In theory it sounds really impressive and interesting, the location and idea are great, however it wasn't entertaining. As much as we love Hong Kong the Laser Show is at the bottom on our list.
Our overall plan:
London - Tokyo Narita with a stopover in Hong Kong (Cathay Pacific)
Tokyo - Kyoto by Shinkansen Nozomi
Osaka - Seoul (flyPeach)
Seoul - London via Hong Kong (Cathay Pacific)
“You can leave Hong Kong, but it will never leave you.”
